Zvi Slonimsky is also the Chairman of Teledata, and a board member at Alvarion and Sequans. Until October 2005 he served as CEO of Alvarion, following its establishment in August 2001 as a result of the merger between BreezeCOM (which he joined in May 1999) and Floware. Prior to this period, Zvi served as President and CEO of MTS Ltd. and General Manager of DSP Group, Israel. Zvi has held senior positions in a variety of telecommunication companies in Israel, including C.Mer and Tadiran.
Mr. Slonimsky holds B.Sc.E.E. and M.Sc.E.E. degrees from the Technion Israel Institute for Technology and an M.B.A. degree from Tel Aviv University.
Avi Fisher co-founded SURF in 1996. Before being appointed CEO, he was the company’s CTO, VP R&D and VP Marketing. Prior to co-founding SURF, Avi founded and managed A. F. Systems, a sw development consultancy firm that provided services to companies such as Comverse and SmartLink. Avi worked for six years in the IDF developing cutting-edge technologies, and earning for himself the Israel Defense Award. Avi’s expertise is in digital signal processing, embedded software and system architecture. He has issued several patent requests, and was the first contributor to the ITU V.150 standard for the relay of modem signals over the IP.
Mr. Fisher holds a BSc (with exceptional honors) and an MSc from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
Partner & CFO, Giza VC
Tal Mizrahi joined Giza in 2005 and serves as Partner and CFO. In addition, Tal holds the positions of Venture Partner at Swanlaab Venture Factory in Spain and Partner & CFO at Giza Polish Venture I (GPV I) in Poland.
Previously, Tal was the Director of Finance at PortAuthority Technologies, a security software company acquired by Websense Inc. in 2006. Prior to that, he served as VP – Finance at Zinook, an investment company focused on seed stage technology companies, and was Senior Associate at Kesselman & Kesselman, PricewaterhouseCoopers in Tel Aviv.
Tal is a certified public accountant and holds an LLM in law from Bar Ilan University and a BA in accounting and business management from the College of Management.
General Partner, Pitango
Zeev Binman is Pitango’s CFO. Prior to joining Pitango, Zeev served as Vice President of Finance and Organization at PazGas, the leading Israeli energy company. He also held a similar position at Fibronics International, USA, a leading fiber-optic communication company. Early in his career, he served as referent for the defense industries in the Budget Department of the Israel Ministry of Finance. Zeev served on the board of Optonol, acquired by Alcon (NYSE: ACL), superDimension , acquired by Covidien (NYSE: COV) and fring , acquired by Genband. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of a number of companies, including Surf Communication Solutions and Proneuron.
He holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A., specializing in Finance, from Tel Aviv University.
