Avi Fisher

CEO and Co-founder

Avi Fisher co-founded SURF in 1996.

Avi’s expertise is in digital signal processing, embedded software and system architecture. He has issued several patents, and was the first contributor to the ITU V.150 standard for the relay of modem signals over the IP.

Avi served as lieutenant in the Intelligence Division at the Israeli Defense Forces, and holds a BSc and an MSc from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Israel. 

Michal Shriki


Michal joined SURF in 2012 as an executive with both CFO and COO experience. As CFO, Michal establishes the company’s financial policies and strategies and oversee the company finances.

Before joining SURF, Michal served as CFO for Starling Advanced Communications and led the company’s sale and ultimate transition to Panasonic. Michal also spent several years with Ernst & Young.

Michal is a Certified Accountant in Israel and holds an MBA and a BA in economy & accounting from Haifa University, Israel.

Niv Kagan

VP Product Marketing

Niv joined SURF in 2008, bringing over 10 years of product marketing experience in technology products, creating value and growing businesses.

Before joining Surf, Niv held leading product and marketing positions in various companies including Veraz Networks (currently Dialogic) and founded and led start-up in the productivity domain as a provided product consulting services.

Niv holds a BA in Computer Science from UC Santa Cruz, USA.

Ariel Linker

VP Global Sales

Ariel joined SURF in 2013 and heads the company’s global sales outside of North America.

Prior to SURF, Ariel headed the ROW sales and Business Development at OPTIBASE (NASDAQ: OBAS), and prior to that he held executive positions in different companies including AVANTRY (formerly WITCOM) and ECI. 

Ariel holds an ASc in Electronics & Computer science from Tel Aviv University, Israel and a BSc Science from the State University of New York, USA. 

Eyal Zach

VP Business Development

Eyal joined SURF in 2016 to lead the Business Development activities in the company.

Before joining SURF Eyal was VP Business Development in AudioCodes (NASDAQ: AUDC) heading the cloud-enabled solutions offering. Prior to that Eyal headed several startups and provided consulting services. 

Eyal holds a BSc in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Marketing and Finance both from Ben Gurion University, Israel.

Diamond Chaflawee

VP Business Development and Sales N. America

Diamond joined Surf to lead business development and sales in North America. Diamond has extensive experience working for NICE, Inc. where he filled multiple roles in business management in the government sector. Diamond developed a technology that helps emergency centers manage multimedia information, which was adopted by thousands of emergency centers worldwide.

Diamond holds a BA from Bar-Ilan University, Israel, an MBA from Tel-Aviv University, Israel, and Certification in Entrepreneurship and Innovation by University of Maryland, USA.   

Oleg Fomenko

AVP, Media Processing

Oleg joined SURF in 2008 as an R&D engineer and was appointed to the position of AVP in 2014 to lead the R&D media processing group.

Before joining SURF, Oleg worked at Finjan Software as MCRC researcher (Malicious Code Research Center) and then as R&D developer.

Oleg holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Israel.

Michael Zak

AVP Signaling & Applications

Michael joined SURF in 2011 as a software engineer, and was appointed AVP in 2014 to lead the R&D signaling and applications.

Before joining SURF Michael worked in Radvision for 13 years, where he accumulated vast experience in signaling and media protocols.

Michael holds a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Sciences from Ben-Gurion University, and an MBA from Derby University, England.
